What is InkySites?
InkySites designs your small-business website, then runs it for you: hosting, changes, and the groundwork for being found on Google and in AI search. It starts with a free redesign in 48 hours, or a first site if you don't have one. After that, it's a flat $29 a month, ₹1,499 in India. You ask for changes in your dashboard or on WhatsApp, and never open an editor. Your domain and code stay yours.
How much does InkySites cost?
$29 a month, or ₹1,499 a month in India, GST included. One price covers everything: hosting, unlimited reasonable changes, the technical work that makes you findable, and your domain and code back whenever you ask. No tiers, no setup fee. Before that, the redesign is free and needs no card. You pay in advance, and you can cancel any time.
What if I don't like the redesign?
Tell us what you'd like different, or ask for a different direction: you get three rounds of changes, free, before you pay anything. Once you go live, unlimited reasonable changes carry on from there. There's no card on file until you decide to go live, so you can walk away costing yourself nothing.
How do you choose my design style?
When you send us your site, you can pick a direction (Calm and minimal, Warm and classic, or Bold and colourful) or leave it on Let Inky decide. Either way, Inky reads your site and who it's for, then picks the style that fits your business best, the way you'd brief a studio. You can switch anytime: just tell us. Before you go live, a switch is one of your free rounds of changes.
I'm on Wix or Squarespace already. How does this work?
You stay on Wix until you decide to switch. We rebuild your site as a fresh, modern version on our hosting. When you're ready, you subscribe and point your domain at us. Your old site goes quiet; your new one goes live. We don't touch your Wix account.
What about my email? My SSL? My current domain?
Your domain stays with the company you bought it from. You point its DNS at us, and we walk you through the two records: one for your site, and one that proves you own your domain. Your email at that domain keeps working untouched, because we don't run mail. SSL is automatic and free, so the padlock is on from the day your site goes live.
Where's my site hosted, and is it reliable?
On Google Cloud's global network: a static build served through a global CDN, so pages load fast from near your visitor. We also check several times a day that your live site is responding and its certificate is valid, so we usually spot a problem before you would. No website is up 100% of the time and we won't pretend otherwise, but there's no WordPress, plugin, or database to fall over, which removes the most common ways your site could break. Is my site secure, and can it get hacked?
Your site is static HTML. There's no WordPress, no plugins, no database, and no admin login to break into, so the attack surface that hits most small-business sites simply isn't there on yours. SSL is automatic, and we never put your site live on a domain until you've proven you own it.
Is my site backed up?
Yes, in more than one way. Your site's source lives in a private repository with full version history, every published version is archived to separate cloud storage, and we keep prior published versions, so a change can be rolled back. Ask from your dashboard and we email you a download link for your whole site, any time, even after you cancel. And the records that run your site (your domain, subscription and change history) are backed up twice a day to separate cloud storage, with a restore we've tested.
Can I ask for changes on WhatsApp?
Yes, once you connect your phone from your dashboard. Send a message, photos, a PDF or Word file, or a voice note. Inky quotes your request back in your words before the team picks it up, and you can ask to see the change before it goes live. Once your site is live with us, you can publish that preview from the chat or your dashboard. You hear back on WhatsApp and by email when it's done. Each connected number, yours or the front desk's, can send changes for any of your sites, and Inky asks which one if it isn't clear. Send big photos as a Document so WhatsApp doesn't shrink them.
How fast do changes actually happen?
Most changes are live within the hour. All within 48.
Is unlimited really unlimited?
Once you're on the plan, there's no quota and nothing counting, so ask as often as you like. What bounds it is the kind of request rather than the number of them: copy edits, photo swaps, hours, prices, seasonal refreshes, a new page for a new service, and fixing anything broken are all simply part of the plan. Something much bigger, like a ground-up rebuild, a batch of pages that amounts to a second site, a full online store or a new app, is a conversation rather than a refusal. Who owns the design and the code?
You do. Both. The site we make for you is yours, the underlying code is yours, the content is yours. We're hosting and refining it on your behalf, not licensing you a template you have to give back.
Can I sell things on this?
Light ecommerce (a contact form that takes orders, a Stripe button, a Calendly link) works fine and we'll wire it up for you. A full store with hundreds of products and a real cart is not what we built this for. If that's what you need, use Shopify. What if you disappear like my last designer?
Fair question: you've been burned before, so we built for it. Your domain never leaves your hands. Your site is plain static files with no CMS and no proprietary format, and the complete code is yours to take the day you want it. Any developer could pick it up tomorrow. Most web companies ask you to trust they'll stick around. We just made leaving painless instead.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, from your dashboard. Billing stops and your site stays up until the end of the month you've already paid for. You keep your site: ask and we email you a download link.
Do you build new sites from scratch?
Yes. No site yet? We build your first one free from what you tell us: your business's name, what you do, and any photos, files or links you have. Same deal as everyone else: a real preview in 48 hours, and $29 a month only if you go live with it.
When are you not the right fit?
Three cases. If you're running a big online store with inventory and checkout, you want Shopify rather than a site from us, and in India we can run that Shopify store for you. If you genuinely enjoy building your own site, Wix or Squarespace will make you happy. And if what you want is an ongoing ads-and-outreach campaign to chase new customers, that's an agency's job: we make you findable, but we don't run campaigns.
Should I just use Wix or Squarespace instead?
If you want to build and maintain your site yourself, yes, they're genuinely good at that. The difference is who does the work. With a builder, you're the designer, the editor, and the help desk, forever. With us, we make your site and run it for you, with every change you ask for done for you. Same site, very different amount of your time.
Is this a website AMC?
AMC stands for Annual Maintenance Contract, and yes, in everything but the contract. Hosting, SSL, version history, content changes, new pages and fixing what breaks are all in it, for a flat fee with no minimum term, rather than an agreement you are tied to for a year. The changes are bounded by the kind of work rather than by a count, and what falls outside that is listed on our website AMC page.
