FAQ
A few things you might want to know.
How many products can it hold?
As many as you actually sell. The free preview shows your range with a set of real product pages from it, and the rest of the catalogue goes up when you go live. Adding products after that is part of the plan. If you want to add hundreds at once, we'll tell you how long that will take before we start.
Can customers pay on the website?
Yes, through payment links from your own Razorpay account. A Pay now button on a product or an order opens your link, and the money goes straight to you. We never handle it. You need a Razorpay account of your own, which Razorpay approves after its own checks.
Why no cart?
Most makers settle bulk orders, custom sizes and trade prices in a conversation, and a cart would get in the way of that. If you do want a full online store, with stock and shipping, we run Shopify stores too.
Do I need a website already?
No. Tap “We don't have a website yet” and send whatever you have: product photos, a price list, a PDF catalogue, your Google or IndiaMART link. We build your first one from that.
Do you write the product descriptions?
Inky drafts them from what you give us, and you can see a preview and correct anything before it goes live. It won't invent a size or a material. Anything it can't source from you, it leaves out rather than guessing.
Can I add products myself later?
You don't have to. Send the photo and the specs on WhatsApp or from your dashboard, and the page goes up. Most changes are live within the hour. All within 48.
Is the free preview actually free?
Yes. You see your site before you pay anything, and if you walk away there is nothing to cancel and nothing owed.
Do we own the website?
You do. The design, the code and the content are yours. We host it and keep it current for you. If you leave, you take it with you.
