The honest side-by-side.
| InkySites | Pagesmith | |

| Starts from the site you already have | Yes. Paste your URL. If you like your site as it is, we just copy it over. | Yes. Paste your URL and it creates a draft from your content and design direction. |
| How fast you see something | 48 hours. A real person reviews every site before it is sent to you. | Their page publishes no timing. You paste your URL and review the draft it creates, and you can start on the free plan today. |
| Who makes your changes | We do. You ask in plain English, on WhatsApp or in your dashboard, as often as you like, within reason. Most changes are live within the hour. All within 48. | You do, with AI, visual controls or code. You publish once the site passes your review. |
| Your domain | Yours. It never leaves your hands. | Your own domain is part of the Pro plan. |
| Your code when you leave | Yours, complete, whenever you ask. Plain static files, no CMS, no proprietary format. | Yours too, on a paid plan. Their page says eligible paid plans can download the Astro project, and their terms say exported code is yours to use, modify and host elsewhere. On those plans, level with InkySites. |
| Built to be found | Search and AI-search groundwork on every site as standard, checked before it goes live. | Crawlable HTML, metadata, sitemaps and other technical SEO controls, with an SEO assistant on Pro. Their page says no website builder can guarantee rankings. |
Pagesmith's prices, plans and answers were read from pagesmith.ai/pricing, pagesmith.ai and its terms on 2 October 2026 and are described in their own words. The $19 is their month-to-month price; billed yearly, their page shows $16 a month. Their prices exclude VAT where it applies. InkySites's "most within the hour, all within 48" is our normal turnaround, not a contractual SLA, and the changes we make are within reason: small-to-medium tweaks rather than a monthly rebuild.
Who each one is right for.
Choose Pagesmith if
You want the lower list price, you're comfortable making changes yourself with AI or an editor, and you may have more than one site. Pro covers up to three for $19 a month. You can start on the free plan, and on a paid plan you can download your code, so you can leave with it there too. If doing it yourself suits you, Pagesmith is the better buy at list price.
Choose InkySites if
You don't want to be the one doing it. On a paid Pagesmith plan you can download your code, as you can ask for it from us, so this comes down to who makes the changes. You ask in plain English, on WhatsApp or in your dashboard, as often as you like, within reason, and we make them. That's $29 a month, and the redesign is free before you decide.
Questions people ask.
Is Pagesmith cheaper than InkySites?
At list price, yes. Pagesmith Pro is $19 a month, with 200 AI credits a month, and covers up to three published sites, and Pagesmith has a permanently free plan as well. InkySites is a flat $29 a month. The two prices buy different things: on Pagesmith you make the changes yourself, with AI, visual controls or code, and on InkySites you ask and we make them. The first InkySites redesign is free, with no card. Checked 2 October 2026.
Do I own my website's code with Pagesmith?
On a paid plan, yes. Pagesmith says eligible paid plans can download the standard Astro project, and its terms say exported code is yours to use, modify and host elsewhere. InkySites matches that: your site is plain static files with no CMS and no proprietary format, and the complete code comes back whenever you ask. On a paid plan, code is no reason to pick one over the other.
What is the difference between Pagesmith and InkySites?
Who makes the changes. On Pagesmith you do, using AI, visual controls or code, and you publish once the site passes your review. On InkySites you ask in plain English, on WhatsApp or in your dashboard, and we make the change. Most changes are live within the hour. All within 48. Pagesmith has the lower list price and a free plan. InkySites takes 48 hours to email your redesign.
