Is my website orphaned? Check it free.

Type your web address. We look at the things that quietly go wrong when nobody is looking after a site: the domain, the security certificate, when it last changed, whether whoever built it is still around, and whether Google and AI can read it. Free, and no email needed.

Check my site

We read only what any visitor could see. Nothing is changed on your site, and nobody contacts you because you ran a check.

What the check looks at.

Each line is a plain-English answer with the fact behind it, so you can check it yourself.

  1. Your domain. Who it is registered with and when it expires, from the registry. A domain that has lapsed, or is about to be deleted, gets its own warning and what to do about it.
  2. Your security certificate. Whether browsers trust it, and when it runs out. When it lapses, browsers warn visitors away before they see a single page.
  3. When it last changed. The copyright year in your footer, and the last time the Internet Archive saved a copy.
  4. Who built it, and are they still around. The "designed by" credit on your home page, and whether that company's own website still answers.
  5. What it runs on. WordPress, Wix, Shopify and the like, where the page says so.
  6. Can Google and AI read it. Whether your robots.txt turns AI tools away, whether there is a sitemap, and whether your business details are written in structured data.
  7. Speed on a phone. Google's own verdict, as a pass or needs work.

If the answers are not good.

Most of these are fixable by whoever holds the accounts. If you are not sure who that is, start with who owns your website and how to get access. If the person who built it has stopped replying, read what to do when your web designer disappears.

Or let us build you a fresh version from the site you have. Paste the address on our home page and we email you a new site, free, with no card. Your domain stays yours.
